THE FIRST-EVER REFRAME FESTIVAL FEATURES PIONEERING THOUGHT AND DISCERNING JOURNALISM LIVE ONSTAGE AT KQED

SAN FRANCISCO, CA; March 15,2024 — PBS NewsHour and KQED announce that they will co-host the first Reframe Festival on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at KQED’s San Francisco headquarters. The day-long event will explore pioneering thought shaping current affairs. PBS NewsHour’s trusted journalists, including co-anchor Amna Nawaz, senior correspondent and former anchor and managing editor Judy Woodruff, and West anchor Stephanie Sy, will guide sessions with some of the more exciting minds and changemakers shaping our national and local discourse.

Presented at The Commons inside KQED’s headquarters in San Francisco, the event challenges attendees to consider new viewpoints, adapt to accelerating change, and re-envision the common good. Through in-depth interviews and timely discussions, the program will delve into California’s significant political influence, the wide-reaching impacts of Silicon Valley technologies, indigenous leadership in climate resilience, efforts to foster civic trust over polarization, and the daring vision of a groundbreaking Bay Area artistic leader.

The festival will unfold in the intimate Commons theater, as well as stream live online for ticketed viewers at home. For attendees, the program will also animate the senses with a special live performance, curated cuisine, and participatory discussion activities that offer attendees the chance to engage directly with the hosts and each other on issues of the day.
