Sam Wo Gets Chance to Reopen

Today at 9:30, the owners of shuttered Chinatown institution Sam Wo went before the Department of Public Health and Director Richard Lee to try to save the 100-year-old restaurant. As reported on Friday, the city reached out to Sam Wo on Friday to forge a path to make it compliant and safe. Two hours later, that’s pretty much what happened.
