Well this is sorta interesting…

From RunHillary2012.net

About an hour ago I got a robocall at my San Francisco home asking us to sign a petition urging Hillary Clinton to run for the Democratic presidential nomination. The call mentions the site Run Hillary 2012.net.

Apparently, this is a multi-state campaign. Published reports from the New York Daily News and Politico say the calls have been received in New York, North Carolina, and Ohio.

And now California…

Here’s what’s the woman on the call says:

America would be better off today if Hillary Clinton was our president. The Wall Street robber barons would be jailed, young people could afford college and find jobs and six million homeowners wouldn’t face foreclosure. We need to change course. Please sign our petition to draft Hillary Clinton for president. Visit RunHillary2012.net. In 2012, we can elect Hillary Clinton president of the United States.

Sort of a stretch, those claims. And maybe Buster Posey wouldn’t have broken his leg?

In September, Dick Cheney also went public with his belief that it would be a pretty good idea if Clinton ran. Since he’s the person with perhaps the single least amount of influence on Democratic voters in history, the woman making this phone call probably can’t do any worse in inciting a groundswell of support for the non-candidate.

We broke the story today with the Huff Post and have the only 24.7 monitoring for robocalls.

    Here > http://stoppoliticalcalls.org/ht/display/ReleaseDetails/i/308597

Also, political robocalls are illegal in CA.

    Law here > http://www.stoppoliticalcalls.org/ht/d/DoSurvey/i/25151

Who is sponsoring these ads? I’m guessing that Hillary has nothing to do with it.

What’s a robocall? If it’s the one I received tonight asking me to sign a petition to  draft Hillary Clinton for President of the USA , I want to sign the petition.. and I can’t find it on the e-mail address, (Run Hillary12.net) , given by the caller over the phone. I think Hilary Clinton should run for President as an Independent. She would win, Hands Down!
If that call tonight was “illegal”, why have I been getting so many similar calls ever since I moved to California in 1999!

    • Jon Brooks

      Yep, that’s it.
