The U.S. Senate plans to vote Monday on the reauthorization of the farm bill, which is already causing a stir among farmers, environmentalists, and anti-hunger advocates. The bill would cut $24 billion over the next decade, including $4 billion from food stamp programs. The House drafted a rival bill, with nearly $40 billion in cuts.
