KQET Overnight Tower Shut Down – Fri, 12/14 and Sat, 12/15

KSBW is requesting we shut down KQET for tower work this Friday Morning, December 14, 2012. The outage is scheduled to begin at 12:30am.

12/14/12 Update: The work was not completed last night, so the tower is scheduled to be shut down again early 12/15.

9/16: KQET signal will be down temporarily

KQET’s transmitter on Fremont Peak will shut down for a short time mid-day on Thurs 9/16 for fan belt maintenance. Exact outage time is not yet known.
While most digital tuners should handle a short interruption of apx 30 minutes without problem, some Over The Air viewers of DT25 may need to “rescan” or “scan add” to restore their tuner’s lock on our signal.
Comcast Cable customers should see no interruption in service. Other Cable and satellite companies will restore their signals as soon as the transmitter is back up.
