Weather permitting, we will be performing maintenance on our KQET transmitter tower on Fremont Peak (northeast of Monterey) Thursday 9/22 afternoon. We anticipate turning the power off at apx 1pm, and it should be restored by apx 1:30pm, gremlins permitting.
Comcast Cable customers should see no interruption in service. Other Cable, satellite, etc., service providers, may experience a reception interruption, depending on the source of their signal. Over The Air (OTA) viewers will definitely experience an interruption while the transmitter is off.
Most digital sets and converter boxes will also auto-restore the signal when it returns after so short an interruption, but a few OTA viewers may need to rescan if the duration of the outage becomes “too long” for their particular tuner.
