  We will also note any reception problem patterns that are developing from other service providers, such as cable and satellite.

12/29: KQED DT9 signal fully restored

KQED DT9′s OTA signal from Sutro Tower was restored at apx 3:35pm, at 50% power. After more repairs, the signal was restored to full power at apx 4:55pm.

Most digital tuners should have already restored our signal automatically, but a few viewers with older equipment may need to “manually add” the channel back into their line-up, or do a rescan to restore their tuner’s lock on our signal.

12/29: KQED DT9s Off Air

KQED’s Over the Air transmission from Sutro Tower in San Francisco has been interrupted as of apx 2:15pm. Technicians are working on the problem, but time needed for repairs is not known at this time.
Comcast Cable viewers are not affected by the OTA outage.
