Demonstration at Pacific Steel Briefly Turns Violent

Our reporter Peter Jon Shuler was on scene at Pacific Steel in Berkeley Tuesday, where he says protests briefly flared and turned violent. Hundreds of workers picketed the plant today. They went on strike yesterday over having to pay more of their health benefits, which they say amounts to about a 10 percent pay cut. […]

Yosemite Roads Remain Closed

All roads into Yosemite National Park remain closed today, as crews work to dig out from a massive winter storm. Almost four feet of snow fell within the park, bringing down power lines and trees. Power remains out in the park. No word yet on when the park will reopen.
