In the Netherlands we have solved this a long time ago. Aside from legalizing marriage. Manny people don’t get married at al, gay or straight. However there are facts of life that make having a legal status equal to being married much more practical. Like having children, buying a house, pension etc etc. Therefor there is a standard legal document that partners can sign and file. Witch is called “Samenlevingsovereenkomst” (yes that one hell of a scrabble word…) in English “Living Together Agreement”. With this every one can be happy. The conservative people who don’t want to see the old rules changed and the folks who want to build a life together but want to have the same legal status, obligations and benefits of being married.

I believe gays have the right to be what they want to be. However, it makes me want to vomit when I see couples of the same sex kissing. Why do they have they throw being gay in my face? Why get married. Ban them from having children. We don’t need more children becoming gay adults.
