Video: Bryan Stow on Brian Williams Show
Last night on Rock Center with Brian Williams, Bryan Stow, the Giants’ fan beaten into a coma at Dodger Stadium on opening day, spoke in public for the first time.
Dr. Nancy Snyderman, who speaks to Stow briefly, reports that the frontal lobes of Stow’s brain were severely damaged. That’s “the area that controls decision-making, planning, and personality,” Snyderman says.
One of Stow’s companions that night is also interviewed, giving his account of the attack.
“He was punched with a haymaker in the side of the head,” says Corey Maciel. “It was a running, huge sweeping punch…The first thing that hit the ground was the back of his head. And I watched his head bounce off the asphalt and heard it…That sound of bone hitting asphalt.” Stow’s assailants then kicked him repeatedly, Maciel says.
Two men suspected of attacking Stow, Louie Sanchez and Marvin Norwood, were arrested in July. They have pled not guilty.Related
