Video: Researchers Describe iPhone Tracking Controversy

Earlier this week Apple came under fire for tracking iPhone users’ locations. The company today released an FAQ about the practice, but the debate continues, with bills under consideration in both the House and Senate to curtail such practices.

On KQED Radio’s Forum today: iPhone or iSpy. Guests included Congresswoman Jackie Speier and journalist Kara Swisher. The show will be archived here later today.

Here’s video of researchers Pete Warden and Alasdair Allan talking about “how they discovered the existence of the tracking database on the iPhone, and what it might mean.”
