If you missed the home opener on Friday, here’s the video of the entire Giants’ pre-game World Series ceremony. And here’s a nice photo of the World Series ring from CSN Bay Area. A lot blingier than the ’24, ’33, and ’54 championship jewelry

Of note on the video, Brian Wilson makes a very Brian Wilsony speech starting around 29:15, and a tribute to Giants’ fan Bryan Stow, who was attacked outside Dodger Stadium on opening day and remains in a coma, begins around 34:40. The Giants have dedicated tonight’s game versus the Dodgers to Stow.

On the heels of the Stow incident, security will be tight tonight at AT&T Park, where the Dodgers and Giants open a three-game series. The San Jose Mercury News talked to Jorge Costa, the Giants’ senior vice president in charge of ballpark operations about the heightened tension in the stands.

Costa, who has been handling Giants security since 1989, said part of his job is to “assess the overall mood of the event.” And passions are running high, even by the standards of one of the fiercest rivalries in sports.

In the aftermath of the Stow incident, Costa asked fans to keep cooler heads this week and urged them to alert security of brewing trouble. Fans can send anonymous messages by texting “80899″ followed by “security” in the body of the text, with details about the area of concern.

“We have to look at this building as a little city of 42,000 people,” Costa said. “Like any other successful community, residents play a role in keeping each other safe.”
