Live cinema takes the spotlight at the 19th San Francisco Silent Festival May 29th - June 1st at the Castro Theatre! From iconic silent film actors to fantastic restorations, the lineup for this year spans the globe to bring a mix of classic film from this golden age of movies – all accompanied by live music.
In the second of our three giveaways with the Festival, we've got five pairs of tickets to the screening of Ramona (1928) at the Castro Theatre on May 30! Adapted from Helen Hunt Jackson’s hugely popular 1884 novel, the Ramona narrative tells of a mixed-race (Scots-Native American) woman, sympathetically detailing her persecution for reasons of race.
Want to go? To be in with a chance, just send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject "Ramona" that contains your full name and mailing address. From all entries we'll randomly select five winners for a pair of tickets, each worth $30!
Deadline to enter is Tuesday, May 27 at 9am. Winners will be notified by e-mail on Friday morning, and tickets will be held at Will Call. You must be a California resident and 18 years or older to participate. Employees of KQED are not eligible to enter.
