A protégé of the legendary jazz master Dizzy Gillespie, Cuban-born Sandoval began studying classical trumpet at the age of twelve, but it didn’t take him long to catch the excitement of the jazz world. He has since evolved into one of the world’s most acknowledged guardians of jazz trumpet and flugelhorn, as well as a renowned classical artist, pianist and composer.

Want to go? All you have to do to enter is send an email to giveaway@kqed.org with the subject "Arturo Sandoval" that contains your full name. From all eligible entries, we'll randomly select two winners for a pair of tickets each (worth $36 each.)

Deadline to enter is Monday, May 26, at 9am. Winners will be notified by e-mail on Monday morning, and tickets will be held at Will Call.
