Called "an incomparable performer" by The New York Times, Pedrito Martinez has become an ubiquitous presence on the Latin Jazz Scene, adding a jolt of creative energy to work with Paquito D'Rivera, Eliane Elias, Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Eddie Palmieri. As a bandleader, Martinez has developed a captivating sound steeped in Afro-Cuban rumba but also informed by North American rhythmic currents.
