Happy Valentine's Day! It's the last day of the KQED and California Academy of Sciences Giveaway, celebrating the Academy's brand new Animal Attraction exhibit! And it's your last chance to win tickets to NightLife by entering our trivia contest.
Here's how to enter our contest:
Sign up for QUEST's newsletter to receive weekly updates from our science series and to find out about upcoming stories, events from our partners, contests and blog posts. Then send us your answer to today's question via email:
Did you know that once male anglerfishes locate a female in the deep dark sea, they latch on and fuse permanently to her body? Talk about co-dependent! Can you name the growth on this fish's head that acts as a lure, and even lights up for some deep-sea anglerfishes?
Email us your answer to firstname.lastname@example.org and, from all correct entries, we'll randomly select two winners for a pair of NightLife tickets each. Deadline to enter is tomorrow, Wednesday, February 15, 3pm.
And in the meantime, check out a sneak preview of the exhibit on the California Academy of Sciences' Facebook page.
Value of each ticket: $12. You must be a California resident and 18 years or older to participate. Employees of KQED are not eligible to enter. You may enter the contest everyday, but you can only win once.
