What other city in the world has anything like the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival?

Audiences call it an annual tradition, yet breathtaking and new every year, as 750 of Northern California's most acclaimed dancers and musicians take to the stage to share inspiring performances and traditions from around the world. June 3rd through July 3rd at YBCA in San Francisco and Zellerbach Hall at UC Berkeley.

And we want you to go! We have one certificate good for two VIP passes to one performance of the Festival (certificate holder must RSVP at least 72 hours prior to the performance).

All you have to do to enter is sign up for our arts newsletter, Spark Plug, and then answer this question: What year did the festival begin?

Email us your answer to giveaway@kqed.org, and from all entries, we'll randomly select two winners. Deadline to enter is Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Winners will be notified the following day.
