We went there on a Sunday evening at about 8PM and were seated right away. We even found parking to be pretty easy. The place is very comfortable and colorful and very informal. Service was good. There was a guitarist playing Spanish style music, and some American rock songs witha Spanish accent.

We ordered from the tapas menu. Most of what we ate was very very good, and some was just exquisite. The snapper with alioli sauce was amazing - light coating on the pieces of fish, fried just perfectly, and the sauce was so good I could have eaten it with a spoon (and then taken some extra Lipitor before bed.) The garlic shrimp were flavorful and rich. We managed to share the quail - only one in the order; it was perfectly cooked, crispy skinned but still moist, served over rosemary potatos with another mayonaise like sauce. We also had a couple of plates of vegetables that were very good and the Serrano ham on toast with tomatoes (YUMMMM!). To wind up we shared the crema catalana which was a large enough portion to make two of us happy after all the other food. Most dishes were pretty salty, which is normal for tapas - this is bar food after all, meant to encourage you to order a little more to drink. Since we were only two people, we could not go as deeply into the very large selection of tapas as we wanted so we will surely return soon. A table near us was enjoying one of the paellas a lot, so we will try those too.

The wine list was an interesting selection of good wines from Spain. I had a white wine from the Basque country that went perfectly with the variety of dishes we ordered and was only $4.50 for a glass. There is a selection of sherries, which are traditional with tapas. All the wines were very affordable either by the glass or the bottle. With so many good wines to choose from, the sangria seemed like a poor choice and we avoided it.

we just returned from this place and overall we had a pleasant experience, the food was on the salty side and the paella and flan were not good at all. The sangria was very good, but a little too room temperature for my taste.

One of the WORST dining experience my wife and I have had. We went there on a recent Tuesday night and was subjected to mediocre food and subpar service. The topper was the gratuitous tip the staff left for themselves. We left no tip (due to the service) but found out two days later that we were charged 15%. Went back to talk to the owner but he has yet to respond.

We went Friday night on your recommendation and loved the restaurant. Next time we leave Marin for an evening in the city, we will be bringing our family back. The seafood paella was very good and the artichoke & patata dishes you recommended were excellent tapas appetizers. I've never had such yummy sangria.

Thank you, Cristy
