I had the same experience in seeing some folks totally making out! Weird! We were literally jammed in next to the kitchen and practically on top of the people next to us. The only redeeming factor: the sangria.

I have been going to Cha Cha Cha since the eighties when it opened and I was living in the Haight. In fact it was the first time I had heard the word "tapas" too. Tapas began in SF with Cha3 and their's are still inspired and a great bargain.

This place still has great food and is a lot of fun. I highly recommend taking your out of town friends too. It's a great place that probably most SF residents already know about.

Drink the sangria, it really is great. Go for lunch if you want to avoid the long wait for dinner.
