I don’t know if Zatar was having a bad night, but we literally waited 75 minutes (I timed it) for our dinner to arrive. That is 2 and a half episodes of Check Please Bay Area from order to food delivery. The farm fresh, free range produce and meat were nice but not worth the price. Had the Kebab Feast For Two.
Would not go back….

If you are in the South Bay try Athena Grill in Santa Clara, similar food at half the cost.

After reviews I feel that all have been too kind. Person serving was more concerned with their class the next day. Not enough bread and some of the dishes need bread to accompany what is being served. Seasoning different and intriguing that in itself a plus but not worth repeat visits.

Our meal was delicious. What a great find! Very convenient to Berkeley's theatre district. It was a very short walk to the Aurora Theatre - across University Avenue and about two blocks away.

Zatar has to be one of my favorite restaurants in the whole East Bay. The care with which they prepare their food and the incredibly high quality of the ingredients make it one of the best places around. Check out the chicken wrap for Friday lunch!

I HIGHLY recommend it!
