Hello, this is Gillian, the woman above who reviewed Little Star. I was recently forwarded this question by someone at KQED:

I read Gillian's (Product Designer from Oakland) review of LITTLE STAR
PIZZA. She stated that she is an unapologetic thin-crust pizza snob, who
spent a lot of time in Naples, Italy, so Little Star Pizza would not be a
destination place for her to eat thin crust pizza. I am also a thin-crust,
Italian/New York style snob. I search out pizzeria's that have that 'special
flavor'. Is it possible to find out what are her favorite pizzeria's in San
Franciso and the Bay Are..? Thanks. Ron...

MY ANSWER TO RON is that in the city, A16 is the absolute best Naples-style pizza you will find. There is a lot of good pizza out there (Goat Hill, for example) but for authentic Napolitano, I can ONLY recommend A16, on Union St. In the East Bay, Pizzaiolo on Telegraph Ave. is also extremely authentic, and Dopo, on Piedmont Ave. is absolutley excellent. I hope that help you out Ron!
