Since this restaurant only had one review, and it was bad, I feel compelled to make a positive comment. I've been to Insalata three or four times, and it is very good. The service has never let me down and the food is excellent. You would miss a lot by avoiding Insalata because of one bad review. I've had occasional bad experiences at some very good restaurants, but it they are just flukes. Resraurants can be very good without being perfect.

My wife and I really like the show and saw this episode regarding this restaurant. The fact that the food served at this establishment has a Mediterranean flare perked my interest and the food on TV looked really good. So good that I packed my wife and my daughter from Windsor, CA and decided that I would treat them to a nice meal. Unfortunately, we never got to try the food. We were seated promptly but was left unattended for 20 minutes before my wife and I decided that this was ridiculous (we only got bread....and not even water or even a drink order) and enough was enough. We talked to the hostess and the manager and made a complaint. I have been to many fine establishments (we frequent many restaurants in the wine country) and never had poor service like this. Needless to say, we will never try this establishment again.
