Luke Jaden

Made in Detroit, Luke Jaden is a writer and director. With his passion for Stephen King, he founded Derry Films, an independent production company gravitating toward sophisticated stories.

Most recently, Jaden wrote and directed Wolf Who Cried Boy, an anti-coming-of-age tale starring Oscar-nominated Captain Phillips star Barkhad Abdi and Beasts of The Southern Wild’s Dwight Henry. Jaden also directed King Ripplehis visually abstract stunner starring Short Term 12‘s Keith Stanfield.

Jaden is most known for his critically acclaimed documentary, Madman or Martyr. Earning a prestigious spot in USA Today, Jaden gained tremendous amounts of notoriety cleverly documenting the true telling of white abolitionist John Brown and the relentless raid he led on Harper’s Ferry.
