Oakland Teacher Wins Digital Technology from PBS LearningMedia

KQED and PBS LearningMedia are pleased to present St. Jarlath Catholic School in Oakland, CA with $10,000 in digital technology for use in the school’s classrooms. Shannon Jordan, a middle school science and religion teacher at St. Jarlath, took home the grand prize for her school. Jordan was randomly selected from over 18K entries in a sweepstakes promoted locally by KQED as part of a nationwide PBS LearningMedia campaign called “Get Your Tech On”, geared towards helping educator build their digital classrooms.
