La Mexicana Restaurant: Reviews

Bill: ” My favorite dinner over the years has been chicken enchilada (notice I said singular) dinner. The portion size is large, and it’s served with tasty refried beans and a savory rice.”
Karrie: “The Chicken de Mole was the best I’ve ever tasted, rich, dark and chocolatey with just the right amount of heat.”
Kevin: “The owner, Emma, is very nice, and her homemade corn tortillas are killer! I am not a fan of corn tortillas, but these were wonderful.”

Pizzaiolo: Reviews

Robert: “The pizza is a good size (we left with extra pizza) and came bubbly hot with the perfect amount of burn around the edges of the rustic crust. As in Napoli, each bite was PERFECTION.”
Chelsea: “The colorful plate of roasted eggplant, yellow and pink watermelon, and subtle cheese was the highlight of the food for me that evening.”
Peter: ” The homemade meatballs were perfectly seasoned and balanced well with the creamy polenta.”

DOSA on Fillmore: Reviews

Suzanne: “This watermelon, paneer, and sprouted mung bean salad was a unique blend of seasonal flavors and traditional ingredients and textures, a testament to Dosa’s unique appeal.”
Mike: ” I used all of the gunpowder to make the paste, consequently requiring a second ginger type drink, a Batsman, after consuming the first to extinguish the flames.”

Cathy: “We were very pleased with the pacing and order that the meal was served, one dish at a time. It allowed us to savor the flavors of each dish and not feel rushed or worried over our food getting cold.”

Gather: Reviews

Cathy: “The salads are always a delicious surprise. One of my go-to dishes is the kale salad, which has been a staple on the menu since the restaurant opened.”
Suzanne: “The charcuterie approached the fabled realms of molecular gastronomy, which was a new experience for us, and the highlight of the night.”
Mike: “My wife said the burger was absolutely scrumptious, especially the taste of the aioli, a caramelized shallot-tomato sauce.”

The Peasant & The Pear: Reviews

Scott: “The seasonal menu changes at least once every three months to reflect the available local ingredients, and we dined from the Summer 2011 menu.”
Ruth-Ann: ” But the winner, hands down, was the warm pear tart with its flaky crust and caramelized pears.”
David: “The lamb shank got the most attention from our table. The portion size was ridiculous. The shank looked like the dinosaur bone that knocked over Fred Flintstone’s car at the drive-in.”

Trueburger: Reviews

Karen: “This is a place that offers a straightforward, fresh, and focused approach to the burger.”
Brian: “The absolute star of the show was undoubtedly the True Deluxe, a cheeseburger plus a whole portabella mushroom that has been stuffed with smoked mozzarella, breaded, and deep-fried.”
Julie: “To my delight, the fries were cooked perfectly — crispy and not too salty and the traditional thin kind, which I prefer over wedge fries.”

Grand Oaks Restaurant and Sports Lounge: Reviews

Nino: “The portions were huge. The pork was well cooked; it was very moist and flavorful.”
Alexia: “After dinner, everyone present said they would come back to Grand Oaks because of the food. The prices were exceptional for the portion and quality of the food.”

Matthew: “The food was great, the service was great, and the place is a fun, friendly, sports bar. I could also see this being a great place to watch the Giants.”

Dragon Rouge: Reviews

Jacob: “In addition to the fish, we had the always delicious Bouncing Beef.”
Bob: “The service was excellent and this was a very good introduction to Vietnamese food. It was an amazing value for the quality and quantity.”
Lori: “The sweet, crispiness of the banana somosas paired very well with vanilla ice cream.”
