Saturday evening was an ubelieveable culinary experience at Alegrias where qualitative food, service of an extraordinary level and ambience were fused together at this sensational restaurant. The team at Alegrias delivered an adventure in Spanish cusine that equivocates an evening in Barcelona here in the Bay Area. Frogs legs, calamari, piquillo peppers, empanadillas de carne were a few of the choice for the evening that assaulted our taste buds with uniques flavors, lasting memories and the need to revisit this institution of Spanish culinary excellence. Bravo, Bravo Bravo, I salute the presence of Alegiras in this great city and it deserves full exploitation of those wanting to participate in a food expereince of the highest quality.

Alegrias has been a favorite of mine for many years and still will be. Cesar is a wonderful host and he and his family made me feel I have a family of my own away from home. I go to Alegrias everytime I need to nurture myself, and everytime I go out satisfied and wanting to return back. The back of the restaurant always reminded me to an Andalusian patio at night, and I always have magical moments there. I'm from Madrid, and I can tell the food is excellent. My mother was a great cook, and Alegrias brings her memories back.
