We saw a re-run episode of Playground, and decided to host a friend's birthday party in one of the rooms! We had the best time of our lives! We enjoyed the food very much, especially the dolsot bibimbap, fried chicken, japchae, and prawns! We washed it down with plenty of their pitchers of Korean beer and soju! We stayed for about 3 hours. We would have liked to stay longer, but they were fully booked for the evening. I strongly advise calling for reservations since space is very limited! Seems like the place to be on a Friday or Saturday night! Since then, we have been back many times and have another karaoke event coming up in May, where we plan to sing our hearts out to more Justin Bieber and Aerosmith!

Libby,

I'm sorry for the delay in my response. I hadn't seen this till now. I want to formally apologize for your unpleasant experience at Playground last March. You must have came a little after the shop below us (the old Denny's) had caught on fire and burned down. As a result, we also had to close business for a few days while the electricians tried to fix any internal problems that had also affected us upstairs. During that time, a terminator warned us that a vacated cockroach nest had been in the walls of the downstairs establishment and a couple of critters may have travelled to safe quarters to where we were on the second floor. Fortunately and UNfortunately for you, the bug you saw that evening was the one and only that was found since the inception of our business since 2006. I truly apologize you had to see that. We regret not having done more for your group. I wish you had expressed your dissatisfaction at the time, so we could surely turn the matter around. We also do add an automatic gratuity for parties of 5 or more, but should you have felt that our servers were not worthy of it, we would have surely taken it off the bill. However, I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed the food and was having a nice time prior to the incident.

We would love to have you come back and give us another chance. Feel free to email me, and I would like to set something up for you!

Thanks,

Libby, if you're in a major city and you're at a restaurant, there are roaches. Get over it.

the food was pretty good until we finished eating and saw a cockroach crawling on the wall behind us. it was disgusting. we told the server who apologized and brought our table of nine people two little ice creams to share, thinking that fixed things. our bill was not adjusted at all and they even added the 18% gratuity! i would not recommend this restraunt at all! unless you like cockroaches in your food.
