We went to La Foret after my husband saw it reviewed on Check Please. It was a terrific dining experience. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. The owner helped us select an excellent bottle of Burgundy. We did the largest serving menu, and all dishes were quite delicious, including foie gras, seared scallop, tuna, deer, kobe beef, and desert. The spices and ingredients to each dish were quite delicious including pink peppercorns, saffron, and more. Plus a ravioli from the chef. I don't like foie gras, so they had no problems offering me another choice. The setting is quite relaxing with big windows overlooking lots of greenery. We highly recommend you try the experience.

My first visit to La Foret was a month after it opened. I go as often as possible. We have always had an excellent meal and service. Instead of the Grand Marnier souffle, which definitely is delicious, we have what I call a dessert coffee. It is the Cafe Romano. It is no longer on the menu, but it will be prepared if you ask. We enjoy this more than the souffle. We have tried many other restaurants and this is our favorite.
