I dunno what some of these people are talking about, this place is AMAZING!! I go to the restaurant pretty often as I work right across the street. You walk in the cute lil indian couple greet you! You get the amazing corn bread with yummy mango salsa, and plop down and enjoy the tunes. My personal favorite thing on the menu is the calamari its TO DIE FOR! My boyfriend loves the po'boy sandwich with fries. Other things on the menu to try are the cuban steak (YUMO-LA), the jerk chicken, and MUST try the desserts. All in all I go here at least a few times a week and I must say if Tropix closed down I wouldn't have any where to go after work.

Tropix pure nasty!!! I'm originally from Brooklyn, N.Y. so believe me I know Caribbean food. My friend took me there on my birthday recently for the second time ( I didn't want to hurt his feelings) and I still was not impressed. The first owners didn't have a clue either. Some people think if you put on some "Reggae" music, they're home free, NOT. I had the Goat, god help them, in a lousy soupy something, it was as hard as a tire. The wait staff were clueless at best. Tropix, please close down soon your are giving my neighborhood a bad rep.

A friend of mine is very gung ho about this restaurant so my boyfriend and I decided to check out the place for brunch on Sat. I had the Steak and Eggs, and my boyfriend had the pica dillo, both choices where absolutely amazing. My steak was done just right and my boyfriends pica dillo was sooo delicious (of course I nibbled at his place). I swear by this place, and yes Laura I also put butter on my corn bread!!! ;)

Hello fellow consumers, I checked out Tropix this weekend with my boyfriend, and had the steak special which was absolutely amazing. It was lightly covered in this mushroom sauce that complimented the well marinated steak and chipotle mashed potatoes. Also, the corn bread with the mango sauce is just to die for, and yes I did smear some butter on the warm corn bread and LOVED IT :) My boyfriend played it safe and tried the jerk chicken plate, he was really pleased with the chicken, it wasn't too dry and the flavors were very bold. The rice and beans were really good, yes I picked at his plate!! so.. all in all I will for sure go back.

This must be an old show. The ownership of this restaurant has changed and the service and food are not very good any more. My wife and I have been there on a number of occasions and each successive time the food and service have become worse. Do not be surprised if the service is poor, the food not so good. Be careful of what you eat.
