We live in the neighborhood and love the Grubstake! The food is terrific, Santos is warm & welcoming, and the ever-changing decorations and fresh flowers just make you happy. I love the burgers and breakfast, but my husband frequently opts for a Portuguese dish, and we both agree that the cheesecake is wonderful. The Grubstake is a great spot to unwind after a long day, savoring a Sagres beer and enjoying a great meal. It's as close to a home-cooked meal as you can get and still be eating out. We've taken tons of people here over the years, and everyone loves it.
