My wife Nancy and I have had the pleasure of dining at the Pacific Cafe for at least 20 years now. It is The best restaurant hands down. It is where we take All of our out of town family and friends.

What do I mean by this, first of all
The wait staff - when we see them its like having thanksgiving dinner at uncle joes - I mean the smile comes on, the hand shakes and that wonderful feeling just melds over you.
The Food - what is it that makes their food so special - maybe the fact that everything is so fresh and the chefs are true masters and truly care -
The parking - well that isn't so great but nothing any good San Franciscan can't handle.

Honestly a wonderful restaurant you will Always come back to....

My husband and I finally made it to the Pacific Café and had a wonderful meal. The Clams special was full of garlic and a lovely broth for dipping the delicious sour dough bread. I loved the Halibut Parmesan! The Salmon was also terrific. We enjoyed our experience so much we returned a week later! We live in the East Bay and feel it was well worth the trip to the City. Great casual dining with excellent quality seafood in a clean and friendly atmosphere. We plan to bring friends on our next visit to share the great seafood meal!

Pacific Cafe is still a great place to dine in the city. They are open to people bringing their own bottles of good wine. Food is fresh and always well prepared. A great place to bring people visiting the city. Get there on time and enjoy the Museum and views just a short distance away. I have gone there for the past 25 yrs. on and off and remains a SF star.

Used to go at least once a month. Found it first when I was a Park Ranger at Hyde Street Pier... a coworker told me about it. The Snapper Vera Cruz was unbelievable! I introduced my (to be) wife to it, my parents, my in-laws, my sister & hubby, my brother. It was the place to spend an hour (sometimes a few hours) sipping jug wine while waiting for a table. The cats were most entertaining!!! Haven't been there in a year or so, but if you want the biggest lobster tail in SF, ask for it!!!

Enjoyed reading about your popular cafe and reviewing the delicious food offered. I was disappointed that I couldn't view the video but I will keep trying to improve my computer skills. Thank you for inviting us to visit. Best wishes for a Happy New Year!! Frances and Frank

From 1978 - 1983 my wife and I lived 5 blocks from the Pacific Cafe and dined there at least 6 times a month. I am glad to see it is still great but I truly miss the best waiter in SF - Dan.

Years ago when I lived in SF, this was one of our (and still is) favorite neighborhood places to eat. many times we would sip wine and wait for our table only to be pleasantly suprised by the good food and friendly people. A must go place!
