This place may or may not be great, but I can't trust a restaurant that doesn't have a website. I like to look at the menu, a few photos, and prices to see if it's a place I want to spend the time to and money to experience. Da Flora, you're in SF the heart of tech, get a website and you'll increase your business.

"I hate to be rude, but there are people waiting for your table." Unbelievable. They need to look into hiring new waitstaff. Waiters can easily kill an otherwise nice restaurant.

My wife and i consider Da flora one of our absolute faves in the Bay Area. We go there to celebrate and to show friends what really good food is all about.

I love Flora, Mary Beth and Jen, and love that they personally take care of us. But beware — Flora does not suffer fools gladly, and can sometimes seem a bit harried. However, tho the service is not fast, we have always found it attentive and adequate. Be prepared to slow down and savor the food, which I have always found to be elagant, rich, imaginative, and leaving me begging for more.

If you think Red Lobster serves great food, skip Da Fora. But if you long for the food you had in a romatic restuarant in Venice years back, come and enjoy the ambiance, the food, and yes, even the service.

We went to Da Flora for a birthday dinner and were also greatly disappointed with the service and attitude. I had read previous reviews that warned of Da Flora's poor service and asked myself, "How bad could it really be?" It was really bad, bordering on intentionally disrespectful. For me, it's all about the food with service a distant second. The gnocchi and hazelnut cake were excellent but, Da Flora was the first dining experience I've had with service being so poor that it actually detracted from the food. We were one of three filled tables in restaurant and waited 20+ minutes before someone acknowledged our existence. We asked Flora for wine recommendations, and we were quickly cut off and asked what we wanted to eat...truck stop diner style. Flora and the wait staff then hurried us through dinner and prodded us to leave. We walked out of the restaurant shaking our heads in disbelief. Good food, small portions, over priced, and amazingly rude owner and wait staff.

Tastey Venezian cuisine and spicy service from Flora herself. Owner operated is the definition of this little North Beach gem. Ambience favors lovers and conversation. Turn your cell off and ask Flora for her recomendation from the wine list. Enjoy the character and characters in this cozy dining room.

I looked forward to my evening at Da Flora, only to be meant with disappointment! Very poor service, small quantity for my entree, I felt it was over priced. After I paid my check the server said "I hate to be rude, but there are people waiting for your table." I couldn't believe it, we just signed the bill! Rude, poor service and marginal food is enough never to go back. There are too many restaurants a block away who would appreciate the $320 dollars I sent on a meal for four people.

That's my Daughter - Jennifer who is the Executive Chef at Da' Flora's!! It is so very good to see her name in "lights" and get her "15 minutes of fame". Thank you and for the great reviews; she has worked very, very hard and has accomplished so much since she has become a Chef. Just wanted to give you a Mother's respective!!
