VERY Disappointed w/ Lafayette Chow managment. Was served ahi tuna entree ice cold. Instead of manager apologizing, he rudely suggested that the entree was served correctly, and that he didn't charge for it. One guest completed meal before other guest recv'd replacement entree. Will never take business clients again, and will neve go back. Manager should be fired for arrogant and extremely rude & unprofessional behavior.

Chow is one of my favorite restaraunts in San Francisco. They have consistently served delicious food and provided good service. The portions are generous and the price is very reasonable. They have a fresh fish special daily that has never disappointed, usually it is served with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The Thai Chicken Noodle dish is superb, as is the arugula, pear, walnut and parmesan cheese salad. The lasagna is fantastic, but bring a big appetite or be prepared to bring home a doggie bag...but that's a good thing right? You really cannot go to Chow without having dessert, specifically, the ginger cake with caramel sauce and pumpkin ice cream...heavenly. Chow has a bar and serves beer. They also make fresh carrot juice. Parking can be an issue, but is not too bad. The noise level can be a bit loud, but you can avoid this by going to their heated outdoor patio. Altogether great eats!!
