We came in bearing high expectations based on the Check Please! episode and came away somewhat disappointed. There was an extended interim between our appetizers and entrees. Other guests were seated and served during the long pause of the meal. The eventual arrival of the pad thai, a benchmark for any Thai restaurant, was marred by what appeared to be a hasty reheating in a microwave. The highly touted short ribs seem to have suffered a similar fate. The thai iced coffee was weak with almost all milk. Lower your expectations, bring plenty of money, be sure to have a few drinks before hand, and maybe you will have a positive instead of a punitive experience at Soi 4.
