'Tis the season to be budgeting.

This week's Capital Notes Podcast continues our look at the preparations for the first budget of the new governor, and the message being sent to everyone to buckle in for a rough ride.

Kevin Yamamura of the Sacramento Bee joins me to talk about Governor-elect Jerry Brown's second budget forum, and the road ahead.

And for those wondering: friend and fellow podcaster Anthony York and his wife welcomed their new son this past week, so you may not hear him here for a brief time.
