Radio: Federal Budget Help

Comments Off on Radio: Federal Budget Help

On this morning's edition of The California Report, I wrote a bit of a preview story about the coming budget debate and the reliance on help from the feds. The story also comes as the two leaders of the Legislature, Assembly Speaker John Perez and Senate President pro Tem Darrell Steinberg, wrap up their D.C. trip to lobby for some big bucks.

Bottom line: Governor Schwarzenegger's call for $7 billion is unlikely, but about $3 billion in help is expected. Of course, it's largely one-time cash, not the ongoing help the Guv demanded back in January.
