Skateboarding With Speier

There simply can't be any member of Congress who now doesn't know what's coming when they're interviewed by Stephen Colbert.

The comically conservative late night host has made mincemeat of both Republicans and Democrats in his now infamous "Better Know A District" segment, in which he randomly picks a seemingly obscure congressional district and grills the district's representative on anything and everything.

Last night, he zeroed in on Rep. Jackie Speier (D-San Mateo), the veteran California state legislator who won a seat in Congress last year. For those of us who covered Speier here in Sacramento, watching her skateboard with Colbert was… priceless.
