Like others, I've dismissed Roy's as a chain restaurant. Not any more. I was convinced to try the special dinner on the promise that Roy Yamaguchi would be in the kitchen himself. It was clear a lot of care and thought had gone into the menu design and execution. Service was also top notch, and Roy came out and personally greeted all the tables. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Not sure how a regular night would compare, but I will happily return to try it.

Roy's sounds fantastic. I wont be able to make the event but I really do want to visit the restaurant. I have seen it advertised but the name "Roy's" just did not make me think "delicious food" (No offense intended) but after hearing this menu... I am going to visit. I don't eat sugar or flour products or really any carbs but I expect I can get a great salad and some lean protein. Any menu suggestions for those of us watching our intake?
