I was definitely craving spaetzle, and it did not disappoint. Next time we should make dumplings! I highly recommend creating your own holiday dinner– there was no fighting, plenty of food, and the photos afterward were a blast!

This was truly an inspired event. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was so wonderful… like a holiday dinner you dream about, with no fighting, lots of treats and photos that actually make you look better.

Kat and I almost spontaneously started singing Fah who for-aze, Dah who dor-aze, gathered as we were around the roast beast, residents of "foodie"-ville. I'm still glowing from it all.

How is it that turkey pre-empted goose for Christmas dinner? Is it our obsession with dry, bland white meat? For anyone who loves the richer, more flavorful turkey legs, roast goose is heaven - it's all dark meat! Perhaps it's fear of dealing with all that rendered fat, and a smokey kitchen? I'm inspired. This goose was delicious. I can't wait to cook one myself.
